We Can Help the Typhoon Haiyan Survivors
In the wake of one of the strongest storm in recorded history, the families in the Philippines are in desperate need of food, water, shelter and other basic needs.
On Tuesday, we will be starting our canned food drive to provide typhoon relief to the Philippines. In addition, the UNICEF donations are still being accepted and will also be earmarked for the Philippines.
Just bring the canned goods to P.S. 124 and deposit them in the box behind the Security Desk.
P.S. 124 Yung Wing is in the News!
Laura Marano from the Disney Channel show, "Austin and Ally," came to our school and delivered over 3,000 books, as part of Capital One's Book by Book Campaign with the Heart of American Foundation. Each child in the school received 3 free books, and the library got 500!
Ms. Marano spoke to the 4th and 5th grade classes during assembly and read a storybook to several classes in the lower grades. Thank you to Laura Marano, Capital One and Heart of America for their great generosity!
